I am usually quite busy! But there are slow days occasionally too. It’s good to keep busy though – I’d get bored and fed up if I didn’t have things to do, it makes home time come around quicker! Taking part in I’m a Scientist has made me even busier!

Definitely, and there is always more work to do than you can do, so learning to prioritse things is a very important skill! The last week or so I’ve been prioritising the ‘I’m a scientist’ questions as they are a lot of fun 🙂

      Hi Sarah

Ooohhhh my job is super busy and I fit loads into my day. I have all my lab work to run, cells to take care of and feed, data to analyses, I teach 4 classes a week, I run the Egg and Sperm Race and Non Fiction Science projects and then I write for some magazines and blogs!

Its hard to fit it all in and I work 8am-8pm most days and stay later than 8pm often. I do make sure I get all my weekends off though so that I can have a life. Work hard play hard is my motto!

Yeah thats pretty much a given. It is a fine art balancing all the requirements of a job in science. I am often not fantastic at it though; hence why I hand in things usually 2 weeks late. It’s a nasty habit I am going to change this year….or maybe next year?
