Perhaps because dinosaurs existed 100s of thousands of years before the bible was written, and we only found the first evidence of dinosaurs (fossils!) a couple of hundred years ago, long after the bible was written.

There was evidence of dinosaurs in the biblical period but as people didn’t know that dinosaurs existed and interpreted them differently. There are cases of fossilised footprints which people thought belonged to the devil but were in fact fossilised dinosaur footprints.

In recent times (the past 100 years) we have had technology which allows us to study these fossil findings and we have pieced the evidence together to show how the dinosaurs lived.
