I have to admit I don’t listen to classical music- I would rather listen to something else. In the same sense, I admire the complexity and skill behind classical music. I actually wouldn’t mind learning some classical guitar sometime- I find that amazing and funky. I remember seeing this busker one day in the Sydney mall and he blew my mind away with how fast and technical he was.
I don’t listen to it that much, but I do find some of it very pleasant and relaxing. My university is right next to the Albert Hall so I go to the proms occasionally (when I look out the window + see the queue is not too big!).
Depending on my mood, it can help me study but not always as sometimes I have found that dance music helps me to concentrate – quite different from one another! But I do also enjoy listening to classical music when I’m not studying too, but that goes for all the other types of music I like too.
The only bit I really like or know is the piece that’s used in the film Die Hard, it’s by Beethoven, but that’s pretty much all I know about classical music.
