Question: There was a documentary on about how waking up in the middle of the night can help you sleep better and make you feel more refreshed when you wake up. Is this really true and if it is why?
I saw some of this. The suggestion was that people used to regularly wake up in the night and kind of have two sleeps.
I think the important thing to do is to sleep in the way that works for you and not worry about whether you’re sleeping in the ‘right’ way. So if you find that waking and having two sleeps leaves you feeling refreshed, that’s great. If it doesn’t and you prefer sleeping through the night, that’s also great!
