Giant Squid… I completely love Giant Squid but they also kinda scare me as they are so freaky. They have 6inch beaks and tentacles, colossal squid (like giant squid but bigger) even have hooks in their tentacles. I would love to study them for a day.
Yeah, like Vicky – some crazy underwater escapade!
I can dive, so I guess I might even be half useful doing some ice diving in the Antarctic / Arctic. I quite like to do something field-work like, and very non-physics-ey for a change! In ‘Encounters at the End of the World’ I saw some scientists were collecting slime off the bottom of the seabed underneath the ice and then doing some DNA analysis to see what new species they’d dredged up. That would be well cool.
Wow, I really like both Vicky’s and Jarvist’s answer, would love to do both of those. I think if I was doing something for just one day I’d try something a bit ridiculous but fun, like ‘how many doughnuts can one man eat in 24 hours whilst cycling’ 🙂
