      Hi,
      I’m 31. Some of my friends when I was doing my PhD are now working on oil rigs. Most of them did a geology degree, or some geology options. In school I think the best things to do would be Maths, Physics and Chemistry (though I don’t think you would have to do physics AND chemistry if you didn’t want to do both).

      I’m 28 (that feels so old)!

      It depends what you want to do on an oil rig… you could do so many different types of science there.

      Engineering would be a great subject for you for this! But also geology, chemistry and physics will help you and you will need good maths skills.

      Have a look at biofules if you are interested in biology, this is the process of getting microorganisms (like bacteria) to make fule for us!
