Dogs, horses, bears, and many more do for the purpose of cleaning their eyes. Primates cry when in pain as well as a form of mourning. Elephants, whales, and dolphins also mourn for their dead. Most newborn mammals cry as a way of beginning oxygen flowing into their lungs.
