One finishing school- I was actually thinking about either getting into science or Film and television. Alot of the subjects I selected at school were creative type subjects (My six subjects I did in my final high school year was Biology, English, Maths B, Film and Television, Art and Hospitality).

I was a bit worried that if I did science I might not get to use my creative skills. Luckily, science is all about being creative! Coming up with solutions to problems and coming up with new ideas is one of my favourite things in science. I am glad that I chose science, thoroughly enjoy it and haven’t looked back since!

Being some kind of engineer 🙂 I think I always wanted to work with real objects. I also really enjoy photography, but I accept that this is mainly something for me to do on the side for my own enjoyment as much as anything else.

I wanted to be a doctor until I was about 12 then I wanted to be a scientist (medical science). I was pretty lucky that I knew what I wanted to be early on in life. I think I was just a big geek.

I tried working in business for a few years, selling textbooks to universities. It didn’t suit me at all though (though some people who did it really enjoyed it) and I changed careers into science. I’m very glad I did, but it shows you don’t have to figure out exactly what you want to do when you finish school.
