• Question: Is there any possibility that scuba diving in the ocean (something I really enjoy too) could be bad for the environment? If so how could we reduce it?

It can be bad if it is done irresponsibly, for example if you damage coral reefs when you are diving (something that is quite easy to do, just touching them can kill the corals).
But if you take care when you are diving and respect the animals and environment, then there is no reason that SCUBA diving will damage the environment.

I’m glad you like SCUBA diving, I’m a big fan too 🙂

      I love it too 🙂

I think mainly Scuba diving is a force for good, as people use it to keep track of environment changes and inspect damage due to pollution and poor fishing practises. I think also it’s really made me appreciate the part of the natural world that we can’t see, and so want to help protect it.

A lot of energy is used to compress the air to breathe, and there’s quite a lot of equipment, but as long as you’re not flying around the world to do it, it’s probably no more carbon intensive than any other outdoor sport.
